The Kabalega Diner – The story began more than two decades ago when Erabu Denis and Omona Christopher began their life-long friendship and journey together. Denis, a prominent authority in the African wildlife experience, became a noted safari guide. Chris, a private chef and chef for many nomadic-like wilderness expeditions, had the amazing gift of creating exceptional and delicious gourmet meals. It was this moment in time, these shared experiences that became the bond that brought them together as business partners decades later. They became quick friends. Driven by passion and a dream, the Kabalega Diner was born…a roadside diner with exceptional food, a clean and quiet environment with unique hospitality for tourists, vacationers, day-trippers, out-of-towners and locals alike.
They continued along their individual career paths and were fortunate along the way to have worked with a variety of first-class companies. However, during this time they kept their friendship and the Kabalega Diner dream alive. Finally, in 2010, they met an American investor who completed the missing piece…of their team and their dream. Together they created the Longhorn Investments Partnership, which allowed them to purchase the land for the diner. In March 2011 they were thrilled to finally break ground. One year later the restaurant celebrated it’s grand opening. In the beginning hungry and curious travelers stopped in to enjoy the food, the atmosphere and congeniality. It seemed the presence of vehicles parked in front encouraged more and more people to stop. Today, we are proud to have many regular customers, many who plan their travels to stop by the Diner for great food and wonderful hospitality.
The owners and staff have extraordinary pride in the standards of our friendliness. The caliber of our food and service is second to none. It is important, not only for us but for our customers that we provide the best quality available. We are equally selective in obtaining locally produced crafts. Only the finest objects in both design and execution are sold in the diner.
So, welcome one and all to the Kabalega Diner. Come on by and enjoy a delicious meal from a Samosa to Sandwiches to Spaghetti Bolognese or even Pizza. Our menu is designed for wide appeal and there’s something scrumptious for everyone.
